Today marks a very important day for this blog, the birth date of Elena Emily Bird. I am very sad that I cannot spend this day with her. Of course Elena is off in the mountains of Colorado doing one of her favorite things hiking. Right now she could very well be reaching the top of a very long climb with her friends around her singing happy birthday, that's what I would be doing with her. Love you Bird.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELENA!

Tomorrow I'll be heading off to live in the Colorado Rockies for a month. No phone, no internet, just the mountains. Its a breath of fresh air. Three other girls will share the wagon with me and theres 17 wagons total. Every day I'll set out for a 2 mile to 30 miles of hiking.Reaching a 16 thousand foot summit is truly a glorious feeling. But even better than that is that at Wagon world (also known as GTE) costumes are a regular attire meaning the tie dye onsie will be getting its fair share of use. hurrah! I'll drive from Denver to Estes Park tomorrow and if I am lucky, "Despicable Me" will be part of the entertainment for the voyage. Tonight Im spending the night with my pal Morgan at su casa. We have been having a rad time packing bags to a Taylor Swift playlist. Unfortunately my escapade into the mountains means I won't be able to blog for a month. Kel-dawg will be in charge...look out world. Over and out!
Last friday I had the lovely pleasure of joining Skipper Day as he embarked out on the waters of Winnipesaukee to dutifully help deliver mail. As the skipper/ captain of Sophie C., the floating post office, he travels far and wide on the biggest lake in New Hampshire stopping at diferent islands with mail for the residents, ice cream for the children, and treats for the dogs. Along the way he was narrating the tour for the guests on board along for the ride. Molly and Mason were there for the ride as well and the three of us had a splendid time. The skipper even let us all drive for a bit. On the left is a picture of him lookin sharp in his boating attire as he coaches me on steering the ship! Sorry we haven't blogged in while, Elena and I have been very busy on our summer adventures.BUT
