For our last games of the season the Holderness teams made the three hour journey down to the sea for a visit with the sea wolves. Although it was a fun filled day, the sea wolves came out on top, reclaiming the Tabor day trophy. All was well though, because the biggest win of all was being held up by James and Oliver at the bonfire (we missed you Jesse...). The bonfire proved to be a great success, full of color, laughter, and a splattering of other emotions, as well as paint. Tabor day left us full of spirit as we wrapped up our wonderful Fall. It seems that it's time to put away the rakes, pumpkins, and jugs of cider, and take out the skis, hot chocolate, and shovels. 7:15 wake up to the song "Good Day" by Nappy Roots

Oliver Lowe stopped in, then ran away...successful night in hagerman! if anybody needs math help...Im here from 8-10 mondays ;). Shout out to Holderness Girls Varsity soccer! We had a delightful morning practice today. Nothing like a 5:50 wake up to start your day. Classic waking up early and walking up to practice in the dark with an empty stomach feeling fearfully close to nausea. We warmed up till it was light and we were able to see the ball. We all had a marvelous time, and enjoyed our afternoon off. Big game against Proctor tomorrow. GO BULLS! Today I woke up at the lovely hour 9:34, with six minutes to be in Hagerman. The farthest school building away. I rolled groggily out of bed then hastily threw on a dress. My adrenaline was running high as I whipped out my retainers and put a piece of gum in my mouth to counteract the morning breath. I was a mess, and you could plainly see it as I stumbled out the door with my backpack half zipped thrown over my shoulder. I took off running. My legs burned as I passed Weld. Time was running short when I passed Webster and Niles. I knew I only had one minute to get to class. I dug deep to find that inner strength to pull me through. Finally, I threw open the Hagerman doors and trampled down the steps. I barged into the enviro room, and was ready for class. This afternoon, Elena and I had a soccer game. We played Exeter...and lost 4-1. But we ran a lot, it was good. "Summer was fun...that's the only adjective I can think of to describe it." -Kelly Anne DiNapoli In the midst of skiing, learning to play harmonica, working, boating, hiking, and copious amounts of eating, Kelly and I found little time to blog this summer. Sorry for keeping everyone waiting. Soo this summer I had the pleasure of being in the Colorado rockies for a month. I learned that ants taste like lemon drops, and found the holy grail. Excitment! Back in the home land of Vermont Kelly enjoyed most of her summer soaking up the sun on the lake with hot college boys, working at the ultimate snack shack (with their famous lobster rolls), and learning what NOT to do when you go camping. For about two weeks in the middle of July Kelly was out in British Colombia skiing and exploring the great village of Whistler. Kelly did not want to leave because of all the hot boys and now she is planning to move there this summer. All and all for both of us, the summer of 2011 was one we will never forget. Today marks a very important day for this blog, the birth date of Elena Emily Bird. I am very sad that I cannot spend this day with her. Of course Elena is off in the mountains of Colorado doing one of her favorite things hiking. Right now she could very well be reaching the top of a very long climb with her friends around her singing happy birthday, that's what I would be doing with her. Love you Bird.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELENA! Tomorrow I'll be heading off to live in the Colorado Rockies for a month. No phone, no internet, just the mountains. Its a breath of fresh air. Three other girls will share the wagon with me and theres 17 wagons total. Every day I'll set out for a 2 mile to 30 miles of hiking.Reaching a 16 thousand foot summit is truly a glorious feeling. But even better than that is that at Wagon world (also known as GTE) costumes are a regular attire meaning the tie dye onsie will be getting its fair share of use. hurrah! I'll drive from Denver to Estes Park tomorrow and if I am lucky, "Despicable Me" will be part of the entertainment for the voyage. Tonight Im spending the night with my pal Morgan at su casa. We have been having a rad time packing bags to a Taylor Swift playlist. Unfortunately my escapade into the mountains means I won't be able to blog for a month. Kel-dawg will be in charge...look out world. Over and out!
